What’s up party people! I hope all of you had a fantastic summer. There were no shortages of EDM events in the in North America this year. Its crazy to see how much the scene has grown. Even crazier that yesterday Insomniac Event’s Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC) won the award for best INTERNATIONAL Dance Music Festival. That’s a huge deal and it looks like North America has finally caught on to the scene (no need telling most of you though, since I know a majority of you have been in the scene for awhile). In mixing this month’s Audible Therapy, I wasn’t really feeling much of the new stuff thats hit the street. There seems to be too much progressive house with a Red Hot Chilli Peppers type vocal layered over the top. Its good, but when you’ve got a playlist full of it, not so much. Regardless, if there’s no inspiration in new music, its always a good time to go back a dig through some your favorite tracks. So this month’s Audible Therapy is a flashback to about 5 years ago and pay homage to some of my favorite artists (many of these artists are still my favorites today) and the tracks they produced before the EDM wave really hit North America.
